The tenuous nature of things
As we move through life, there is a constant grapple between loss and gain. We remain in a perpetual state of flux, moving forward and leaving behind what is gone. Our friends and families are the most important things to us. Our children grow so fast that life moments are lost as we rapidly move from one moment to the next. This is the tenuous nature of life; transition, movement, loss and gain. This series aims to capture the elements of this as it relates to my family, particularly my son Elliot; the snapshots of my memories of his growing body and my dreams of moments spent together. Lynsey Sutton is a Wellington based photographer. This is her second exhibition, and is part of the group exhibition 'Four'. Her preferred medium is fine art and experimental photography and this is her first large scale conceptual project. More : www.lynseysuttonphotography.com
