Kirsten Reynolds - 'On the Rocks'
5th December 2014 - 31st January 2015, Photospace Gallery, Wellington NZ
Images in the title series of 'On the Rocks', and some other works, were made during a visit to New Zealand in 2014 with the 'Power Plant' exhibition of light-based installation artwork in the Botanic Gardens, which was part of the New Zealand Festival.
Reynolds paints with light, recording individual photographic exposures over long periods of time. Each archival pigment print is unique and represents a single performance of light painting. |
